A wooden keyboard? Sounds like something Gepetto would have made for Pinocchio. Anyways, such an input peripheral actually exists courtesy of Marubeni Infotec. This wooden keyboard comes with less than a hundred keys – 89 to be exact. It hooks up to your computer via USB 2.0, and comes with a trio of LED lights to display the Scroll Lock, Caps Lock, and Num Lock status. Pricing and availability details are currently unknown. Does anyone have any idea how it feels like to type on wooden keyboards? I say keep your cats and pet hamsters away from this one if you don’t want such a nice keyboard to end up as a scratching post and a place for the hamster to gnaw on.
