Microsoft looks hell bent on controlling your entire home in the future, with the Kitchen Client concept targeting where else but the kitchen. This device will be aware of its surroundings, interacting with Windows Live in the process. In addition, you get a terminal just for recipes, calendars, and family bulletins – a definite boon for mothers all over the world. I wonder how well these devices will hold up to greasy fingers and the occasional spill. Will traditional paper cookbooks die a quick death of the Kitchen Client ever takes over?
