SanDisk has begun to send out samples of its 6GB and 6GB microSDHC cards to cellphone manufacturers and mobile network operators for testing and evaluation purposes, hoping to be able to release both capacity microSDHC cards in due time to consumers who have an insatiable appetite for storage space. Pricing details have not yet been determined, but you can expect this new cards to be available at retail stores before the year is over. Will the release of such high capacity memory cards render lower end MP3 players like the iPod nano redundant, considering the storage space on both would be roughly the same?
