Enforcing the law can be a pretty hazardrous occupation at times, considering how lives are put on the line in front of an unruly mob. Taser (the stun gun company) is currently working with iRobot to come up with a solution that won’t endanger human lives (at least those of the law enforcers) by equipping robots with Tasers. Officials can now control these robots remotely, quelling riots without actually being there physically. I sure hope these robots will be built to withstand Molotov cocktails and the like, since you won’t need one of these in a peaceful protest anyway.
