Taser is often associated with pain, as it is the perfect device to keep weirdos at bay. Taser has recently demonstrated a variation of its stun gun known as the Extended Range Electronic Projectile (XREP), which is launched from a standard 12-gauge shotgun platform. It shoots electrically-charged wireless shells, where an half-ounce shell is capable of incapacitating subjects at ranges of up to 30 yards – three times the range of existing Taser stun guns. Looks like the crowd will still have to be content with Molotov cocktails and rocks while law enforcers and crowd control units stay further ahead of the technology curve. I wonder if a civilian version of the XREP will be released for our protection.
