
The U.S. Army have been trained to use Small Unmanned Ground Vehicles (SUGVs) as these reduce the risk of being a casualty on the battlefield as a robot acts as their eyes, ears, and possibly triggerfingers in highly dangerous situations. The choice of controller is pretty surprising – an Xbox 360 controller. Looks like their video game playing skills back in college will be harnessed on the battlefield as well. Tell mom the next time she ticks you off for spending way too much time in front of a console that you’re training yourself up to join the Army.
