Some analysts believe that Apple has brand new iPods up their sleeves which will utilize technology that is similar to that of the iPhone sometime during or before Macworld next January. While it is tipped that this new breed of video iPods will come with touch screen capability, it will still lack wireless phone capabilities or Internet features. Apparently this new iPod will run on an embedded version of the Mac OS X operating system, while staving off the cannibalization of iPods with the iPhone’s introduction. This shouldn’t really matter, should it? After all, money still flows into Apple’s coffers no matter which product is purchased. It is speculated that these new iPods will fall in the $299 range. What’s your take on this?
