Chinese get Cect 599 iPhone clone

Check out the Cect 599 cellphone from China. I can’t help but wonder whether the naming convention has anything to do with the 8GB iPhone’s price. Nevertheless, the Cect 599 comes with a 3.2″ WQVGA touchscreen display at 240 x 400 resolution, Bluetooth connectivity, dual speakers, and a 1.3 megapixel camera, all packed into a body that weighs a mere 90 grams. It lacks internal memory of any kind, but thankfully there is a microSD memory card slot to cover up for its weaknesses. The Cect 599 isn’t too big on features though, as video playback is restricted to just 176 x 144 pixels. At $150 a pop (unlocked), I’m not sure if you want to pick one up the next time you go for a holiday there.
