Shimadzu from Japan has developed the DataGlass Head-Mounted Video display that can be connected to a notebook or video output via USB, virtually giving you the experience of having a 14″ monitor right in front of you from a distance of 2 feet. This wearable display is meant for industrial users who often find themselves in situations where they need to access small, wearable computers under a wide range of weather conditions. This is dust- and water-proof to cater for the more extreme operating environments it is expected to experience. One thing’s for sure though – the chick modeling this sure doesn’t look as though she’s heading anywhere outside of her cozy air-conditioned office anytime soon. The DataGlass HMD is currently priced at $1,636 a pop.
