Daxian has just unveiled its C8100 candybar handset at the recently concluded SINOCES 2007 event in China. Features include a 2.4″ TFT touchscreen display, a 1.3 megapixel camera to capture those impromptu moments, an integrated audio/video player, and a microSD memory card slot. There doesn’t look as if there is a QWERTY keyboard in sight (virtual ones don’t count) so changes are you’ll have to use the stylus to compose all your text messages and notes – something thumb typists will be disappointed with. Is it just me, or does the top part of the phone look very much like the Nokia N70? No idea on how much the C8100 costs, but chances are it won’t be heading Stateside anytime soon.
