This false limb is different from the rest since it allows the dog’s skin to grow into the metal itself for greater grip. This is a first step that acts as a model for future human amputees, providing a semblance of hope for those suffering from missing limbs. Such an advancement is especially neat, and if it could be merged with the bionic hand we looked at earlier today, the implications are enormous as more and more people enter the Six Million Dollar Man fold. Suddenly, $6,000,000 doesn’t sound like a lot in this day and age – I wonder if we could revise his nickname to take into account inflation?
