A 75-year old Swedish lady lays claim to having the fastest Internet connection in the world. Sigbritt Löthberg’s home has a 40Gbps connection, which is many thousands of times faster than the average residential link. At speeds like that, she can download a full high definition DVD in a matter of 2 seconds, or choose to watch 1,500 HDTV channels simultaneously. What’s her claim to fame? Why, she is the mother of Swedish internet legend Peter Löthberg. Theoretically, there won’t be any data loss as long as the fibre is in place, which means distance is of no object. Man, when will such speeds ever trickle down to us ordinary users who have to wait for YouTube videos to load?
