LaCie Big Disk Extreme+ hits 2TB

LaCie has just unveiled its Big Disk Extreme+ that can carry a whopping 2TB of data, and it not only stores your precious information but does it with pizzazz thanks to a user-friendly quick backup feature for data safety and recovery. It will come with a variety of connectivity options including two FireWire 800 ports, a lone FireWire 400 port, and a USB 2.0 port. The LaCie Shortcut Button also works great when it comes to launching a document or application with a single push of the button. Features include a transparent RAID 0 array, 32MB cache, a “smart” fan system, and a 3-position switch for customized power management. The 2TB Big Disk Extreme+ will retail for $849 and shipping begins early next month. If you’ve no need for that much space, there are always the 1TB and 1.5TB models available.
