Digitimes has raised the issue of the second generation iPhone yet again, claiming that this handset will ship in September at a price that costs half of the original iPhone, between $249 to $299. Could this be the purported iPhone nano that we’ve looked at earlier this month? Only time will tell, as leads that led to both Wintek and Quanta (possible manufacturers of the device) ended up as dead ends since they dealt the dreaded “confidentiality” hand to reporters. Since there is no official word from Apple either, those who have bought the iPhone late last month need not worry about having picked up an obsolete device since this rumor doesn’t look as if it holds any water.
