The MP-VT1 from Tascam holds the distinction of being the first MP3 player in the world that was specially designed for musicians. It’s innards are based on the award-winning CD-VT1mkII and features enough internal memory to store up to 240 songs. The MP-VT1 features functions that allow the user to slow down, loop, and eliminate certain parts when you’re trying to learn new riffs. The Variable Speed Audition function even slows the speed without altering the pitch, while sections can be looped indefinitely. Heck, even the pitch can be adjusted to match the tuning of your instrument or vocal range. A tuner, metronome, USB connectivity, and a rechargeable battery rounds off the list of features. Design-wise, it is not much to look at though.
