Everyone knows just how pesky flies can get, and swatting them with a fly swatter often results in a squished pest that leaves a trail of ooze on the surface. The Mushi catcher from Century Japan takes a more hygenic route, utilizing suction technology to zip the fly inside the tube. The only problem would be approaching the fly silently and stealthily just like how you would with a fly swatter. Alternatively, it works great to pick up dead insects found around the vicinity without dirtying your hands. While it is meant to capture flies, I certainly hope they have a version that is big enough for cockroaches as well since I hate those more than flies. Flies are irritating, but roaches are disgusting! The Mushi catcher retails for approximately $25.
