New Kingston DataTraveler USB drives

Kingston, the memory behemoth, has introduced a couple more DataTraveler USB flash drives that come with up to 8GB worth of storage space. These USB 2.0 devices will be available in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB capacities including a capless design, where the USB connector will be able to slide in or out with a swift thumb movement. This form factor is great in my books since you don’t have to worry about losing the cap like older models. The 1GB model will retail for a mere $20 while the 8GB model is nearly five times more expensive at $116. If you’re sending your kid off to college, don’t forget to include a USB flash drive as part of his/her ‘goodbye’ package.
