OSD Displays release 5.7-inch LCD

OSD Displays has just unveiled an upgraded 5.7″ VGA TFT LCD (also known as the OSD057VG01CW) which comes with a 50,000 hour lifetime white LED backlight. This panel is capable of supporting up to 262k colors, and boasts a brightness level of 250 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 300 to 1. It measures 127mm x 100mm x 6.6mm and makes a great digital photo frame IMHO. Alternatively, stores could utilize this as a mini-advertising panel – hopefully future iterations will be able to come with speakers to help entice customers make that impulse purchase decision.
