The PDA was the in thing in the last decade as executives ditched their leather-bound notebooks for something more high tech. Unfortunately, smartphones and BlackBerries have since made the PDA irrelevant and confined it to niche usage. The Recon 200X from Tripod Data Systems is nothing but a plain ol’ PDA, but boy is it one tough nut to crack. It runs on Windows Mobile 5 and boasts military standard specifications that make it able to withstand drops, vibrations, and extreme temperatures without missing a beat. Sounds pretty good to have, but unfortunately it costs $2,000 to carry one around. You could probably use this in lieu of a hammer when eating crabs though.
