Robotic Dog from Germany

Robotic dogs tend to get all the attention, and this Robot Dog from TU Darmstadt is no different. He has a cycloptic view of things, boasting only a single eye right smack in the middle of its head to check out its surroundings. The design isn’t as refined as I would like it to be, although it looks as though it is having a ball of a time in the photo. Will this be the next Aibo? Surely robotic pets are nice to look at and offer some form of novelty, but at the end of the day there is nothing quite like a living, breathing dog to perk you up after a long day at the office.
