Samsung’s monstrous 70″ LCD TV which debuted in Korea is now heading towards the US, boasting Samsung’s very own dimming LED backlighting technology in lieu of the standard fluorescent lamp. Imagine having 70″ of viewing real estate in the living room, bringing true-to-life images in full HD resolution. The dynamic contrast ratio maxes out at a whopping 500,000 to 1, while power consumption has been reduced by half thanks to the new LED backlighting technology. You also get a trio of HDMI 1.3 terminals and a USB 2.0 jack for connectivity options. I certainly don’t think there’ll be a line for this when it is about to be released, especially when the price starts at $63,000.
