Sony of Europe has just dropped an announcement concerning the DAV-X10 for those who are looking for a budget home theater system that will fit in nicely into a really crammed apartment. It utilizes an internally developed virtual surround technique known as S-Force PRO in order to generate an immersive audio effect with just a couple of satellite speakers and a central subwoofer, pumping out a combined total of 480W of power. The DAV-X10 also accepts HD sources, upscaling video from DVD and TV to 720p or 1080i. The main body boasts touch sensitive buttons for added class, while a Bluetooth adapter lets you stream audio from a cellphone or computer. Sounds like an all-in-one solution for the Ikea-loving home. The DAV-X10 should roll out in Europe this September, with no word on whether those living across the pond will receive this model.
