
Americans will be able to benefit from the TiVO HD update, where a similar concept known as Sky+ lies across the pond. This lets subscribers record all their favorite shows in HD (where available) thanks to the HDMI socket, supporting resolutions of up to 1080i (sorry folks, no full HD for you) while boasting features such as the ability to watch one channel while recording another. There is one feature which would definitely find favor with couch potatoes – multi-room viewing. A new TiVO HD set-top box will retail for $300 a pop.
