Looks like Research In Motion (RIM) certainly wasn’t kidding around when they came up with a WiFi version of the BlackBerry 8820 smartphone which is RIM’s slimmest handset to date. It features a full and highly tactile QWERTY keyboard, a large 320 x 240 display, a trackball navigation system, integrated GPS, a microSDHC memory card slot (up to 32GB in capacity) which is backwards compatible with microSD cards, and 802.11a/b/g connectivity to let you surf within the confines of a hotspot. This quad-band GSM/GPRS and EDGE-enabled smartphone will be available later this summer from AT&T and from selected wireless carriers worldwide at a yet undisclosed price. Yet another WiFi device on the cards to keep you connected wherever you go.
