Now this is one cellphone concept that butterfingers like me would love. It comes in a flexible plastic housing that allows you to drop it, bend it, sit on it, throw it around, and even play fetch with your dog without any worry about spoiling it. Heck, even the display is flexible, measuring 2.75″ and featuring a resolution of 433 x 266 pixels (a weird number that) as well as keys across its surface. The screen uses the “electrowetting” process, where pixels within changing position whenever electric signals affect it. The handset might be a concept, but the display has already been developed by Robert Hayes and Johan Feenstra. I wonder which phone company will take up the task of manufacturing this?
