Caterpillar Scoop strectcher unit concept

I’ve always wondered just how an injured person feels whenever he/she is being transported via a stretcher – all that bumping around would certainly add to the pain experience, wouldn’t it? The Caterpillar Scoop stretcher unit aims to alleviate this problem, allowing just a single parademic to move a patient around without causing further distress to both parties while the other parademic can make himself useful to carry the patient’s belongings. As for stairs, the Caterpillar Scoop even comes with stair climbing capabilities, making that problem a non-issue. The only obstacle I can forsee would be a relatively skinny parademic trying to lug the weight of a 300-pound patient. Hats off to Morten Wagener for conjuring this design. Hopefully we’ll see it become reality sometime in the future.
