We are seeing more and more cellphones these days come with Web-centric software, allowing you to blog on the go or even upload pictures directly to Flickr. Pixi is the result of Panasonic and a British design firm’s collaboration, making it a cinch to upload recently captured images on your cellphone to Mixi (the Japanese equivalent of MySpace) at the touch of an icon. Before the Pixi can be used though, you will need to slip your cellphone into its frame to get started. Sounds like a pretty redundant plastic shell to me, especially when this solution is more software based than anything else. Perhaps they could market the Pixi to be a cellphone case that offers more than just protection.
