Samsung releases 5 more phones

Samsung engineers must have been working overtime with the release of five more handsets. First off we have the SGH-E848 that lays claim to the title “World’s slimmest cellphone” with its measurement of 101.5mm x 52.5mm x 10.6mm – although I thought that other handsets had already broken that barrier. Additional features include a 2 megapixel camera with 4x zoom, 70MB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, a speakerphone, Mp3 playback capability, and a document viewer. For further description on the other four handsets, kindly read on after the jump.

The Samsung SGH-J608 is a slim slider that boasts heat sensitive function keys, bringing handset aesthetics to a whole new level. It targets the young at heart and comes with a 1.3 megapixel cmera, an integrated music player, an FM radio, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Thirdly, we have the SGH-L768 slider handset that allows you to carry out video calls with family and friends courtesy of 3G connectivity. A 2 megapixel camera, an HTML browser, an integrated FM radio, and music playback completes the list of features.

Up next is the SGH-730i smartphone that packs in a 2 megapixel camera that records video as well and a 262k color TFT display. It measures approximately 100mm x 50mmm x 14.8mm and weighs approximately 83 grams.

As always, Samsung tailors to the budget conscious crowd with the SCH-S209. Expect the barest of features to ship with it – a 1.3 megapixel camera at the very least.
