Looks like USB flash drives will soon replace media like DVDs when it comes to transporting large files from computer to computer. The SanDisk Cruzer Micro boasts a whopping 8GB of storage space, doubling the capacity of what its predecessor offered. Needless to say, this Cruzer Micro will be slightly larger than its predecessor at 0.5″ thick, although the 2″ length remains. Features include a sliding USB connector that is stowed away when not in use for added protection, an amber LED light that indicates it is plugged in, and U3 technology with pre-loaded Skype for VoIP, CreuzerSync, and SingupShield. The SanDisk Cruzer Micro 8GB will retail for $129.99 when it is released in the middle of next month.
