This interesting phone patent enables the user to access and open their clamshell handset simply by pressing down on the inside of their palm using both middle and ring fingers, just like how Spiderman does whenever he wants to spin a web. Sounds interesting, but I don’t see how that’s going to add convenience to anyone’s life. After all, there isn’t anything better than taking the phone out of your pocket and with one cool, suave flip, open up the sleek clamshell handset in a flash. You wouldn’t want to look like Dick Tracy wearing your phone around your wrist at all times, do you? I suppose Matt Engarde from Phoenix Wright 2 fame would find this useful.
