Wii gets DVD playback

Are you tired of getting chided by other friends that your current gen Wii can’t even play DVDs? X-OOM Software aims to change all that, converting movies and TV shows that can be played back on the Wii courtesy of MJPEG codec support. All you need to do is run the DVD on a computer and save the file using ‘Movies on Wii’, transfer the file via an SD memory card and you’re good to go. Heck, you can even put your budding video editing skills to good use, using the ‘Expert Mode’ to cut and back up on individual scenes and whole movies. Other formats that X-OOM Movies on Wii supports include DivX, XviD, MPEG2, MPEG4, and WMV among others. You can pick up X-OOM Movies on Wii for £19.99.
