Garlitz took two months and $1,000 to create this Yamaha Virago that is capable of running on water. This hybrid watercraft uses the frame of Yamaha’s bike, but a 9.9 horsepower Nissan outboard motor and a myriad of other materials help propel this recreational vehicle along. Nicknamed the “water chopper”, the rider is propelled along the surface of the water and is touted to be a great candidate when it comes to fly-fishing activities. It has a top speed of 37 mph, and I would say you’d best keep a life jacket on whenever you take this out for a spin. No word on whether the water chopper will ever be commercialized, but it is a strange sight to behold no matter which part of the world you’re at.
