Buffalo is more famous for their range of storage solutions, but this time they bring a Skype phone that enables you to carry out a conversation as long as you’re connected to a WiFi hotspot. Since there’re more than 5,400 FREESPOT WiFi access points in Japan, the chances of you experiencing dropped calls would be extremely low (assuming connectivity is up to par). The black handset isn’t much of a looker in terms of design, but should it work seamlessly, you’ll probably forget about its aesthetics anyway. There is one drawback though – FREESPOT service is famous for its spotty connection, while finding random WiFi access points without the need for a password in Japan is next to impossible.
