Buses as mobile ticket cameras?

Should Governor Schwarzenegger get his way, the “forward facing digital video cameras installed on city buses” could be used to ticket owners of vehicles automatically whenever they have been caught to block buses. Probably these cameras will be used to capture images of errant motorists who are in bus-only lanes. This automated system will enable the city to mail $100 tickets to those caught red handed, and with proof of a picture there really isn’t much room to argue in court. Guess those new to San Francisco or just visiting ought to be more careful when they drive there next time around in order to avoid losing a Benjamin due to ignorance.
