Cellphone projector on parade

Remember the cellphone projector? Well Texas Instruments has theirs too, and it is nearly ready to be unleashed upon the general populace now after being previewed at a Pepcom event in New York. This prototype unit uses lasers as the light source, as the LED-based model is still kept under wraps at the laboratory so that further improvements can be made. This module would definitely be a great addition to any smartphone, as you can now run your PowerPoint presentations without the need for a notebook. While quality might not be up to par with standard projectors, at least this can be used in smaller settings such as a small group meeting or in a classroom.
