The CyberCar is yet another driverless vehicle that is currently being demonstrated in a Northamptonshire town, using lasers to avoid obstacles as it ables about. The main thrust behind such an idea is to increase the use of public transport while reducing one’s reliance on cars since the CyberCar has a very short range and runs at extremely low speeds within an urban environment. I wonder how my insurance policy would stack up against a driverless car in case I get knocked down by one. Hopefully there’s an emergency brake or manual override on these things just in case.
