Fiat EcoDrive reads emissions

Fiat has developed a new EcoDrive system that hooks up to the USB port found in the Blue&Me system that is installed in selected Fiat vehicles. Whenever connected, the EcoDrive will display CO2 emissions statistics from the vehicle in order to help alert the driver to change their driving style to a more environmentally friendly stance. This Blue&Me system will be made available in certain Fiat cars from 2008 onwards. I guess this is a good thing as it also helps reduce fuel consumption. One surefire way is to better plan your route and make sure you have ample time to reach your destination (barring unforseen circumstances) so that there is no need to put the pedal to the metal and burning up more fossil fuel than you should.
