Haier has definitely upped the ante when it comes to price with their new laptop/tablet PC hybrid, running on an Intel Core Duo U2500 processor, an Intel 945GM chipset, 2GB of RAM, an 80GB hard drive, WiFi connectivity (no 802.11n unfortunately), a fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth connectivity, and an 8.6″ widescreen tablet display. You can choose to use this as a tablet by folding down the screen, or as a laptop when seated at your desk. Funny thing is, the $4,790 price tag doesn’t really warrant the specifications found inside. I wonder if Haier has hidden some diamonds or jewels in the casing itself to justify such a high price.
