Home > Computers > Hoax – GoogleTV waiting to be uncovered

Looks like the folks at Google Labs are certainly pretty creative when it comes to hiding an Easter Egg. Mark Erickson claims to have uncovered the method to access Google’s secret on-demand television service, where you are supposed to send an email to yourself with a little cut and paste message, and then log out and log in your GMail account. The GoogleTV icon will then appear over where the letter “M” is supposed to be after a number of log outs and log ins, but even though I’ve tried this method for over 20 times, nothing still turned up for me. What do you think? The jury is still out on this one, and there are staunch supporters on either side. Check out the video above and find out for yourself.

Update: GoogleTV is a hoax, people! Save your time from logging in and out countless times and play Halo 3 instead ;)
