LaCie Little Disk fails to inspire

LaCie might have engaged the services of designer Sam Hecht to come up with the Little Disk, but apart from the glossy finish (that incidentally screams of fingerprint magnet), there is nothing much to shout about. Overall, some people might even mistake it for a chocolate box. Nevertheless, let’s take a look at the specifications – the Little Disk will come in 30GB, 80GB, and 120GB varieties and aim to bring the concept of “clean lines” to the masses by eliminating any unwanted and ugly design flaws to come up with the bare minimum. When it comes to storage, reliability, capacity, and speed are of primary importance to me – aesthetics can take a back seat.
