Loudtalks is a free VoIP walkie-talkie service that lets you babble away with your friends online without having to go through the hassle of dialing up or waiting, just like how a real life walkie-talkie works save for the fact that you’ll have to be seated in front of a Internet-connected computer/laptop. Word has it that a mobile version will be making its way soon, which means those who live under a blanket of WiFi connection no matter where they go will benefit greatest from this. It is currently compatible with Windows-powered computers at the moment, so hopefully a Mac and Linux version will be made available sometime in the future. Definitely beats typing a convoluted text message!
