Microsoft’s Zune is $50 cheaper – I still don’t want it

Just before Apple announced its new iPod lineup, Microsoft slashed the price of the Zune by $50. It’s better than nothing, but who wants a Zune?

USA Today reports that “Matt Rosoff, an analyst at the independent research group Directions on Microsoft, noted that Microsoft is expected to announce new Zune models for this holiday season. Until then, it’s not necessarily fair to compare the Zune with the iPod.” (Link)

The Zune is behind in nearly every aspect: design, platform & usability. Let’s see what Microsoft has to announce and we’ll compare apple to… apple. I don’t believe that the new Zune will be able to topple the iPod… do you?
