If you’re planning on getting the HD DVD add-on for the Xbox 360, might I suggest you hold out until next year as Microsoft will then launch an updated version. The current Xbox 360 HD DVD is touted to be the cheapest high definition drive on sale as it is also fully compatible with Windows PCs in addition to the console. No idea what new improvements will be seen in the updated HD DVD drive, but hopefully the price remains the same as the current one when it is released. Are you currently rocking out to HD DVD or Blu-ray, or are standard DVDs enough?
UPDATE: Microsoft announced that the above information is a misquote, so no new HD DVD drive for the Xbox 360 next year. Sorry, guys!
