NBC will be making their primetime and late-night TV shows available for download a full week after the shows air through a new service known as NBC Direct. These downloads are available at no additional charge to the viewer, which is always good news for those who have missed an episode here and there. A beta version of the service will begin this October and will work only on Windows-based computers, while a Mac version is being planned at an unspecified later date. Some of the confirmed content include recent Emmy winners – “30 Rock,” “Bionic Woman,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Heroes,” “Life,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “The Office,” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”.
