The Pinnacle Video Capture for Mac device comes with an integrated MPEG-4 compressor that is capable of converting just about anything from its composite or S-Video analog source, which means you get to digitally archive video from an old camcorder, the ageing but still strong PS2, or even the archaic VCR. Great for those who have plenty of tapes at home but do not have the proper computer to perform archiving duties. No idea on whether the Pinnacle Video Capture for Mac is compatible with iMovie ’08 or not though. Regardless, Pinnacle has included its own software to do the job so you need not fret, although compatibility would be a nice touch.
