Pleo, the much hyped about dinosaur robot will sadly miss its October release date due to battery issues (not supplied by Sony, I hope). Supposedly able to last up to an hour of autonomous activity, the Pleo’s battery apparently heated up too quickly to accept a full recharge in user tests. The solution would be to make the battery removable, and this design adjustment would mean the Pleo being released later this year in time for the holiday season (I hope). Pleo Forever, perhaps?
