POSDATA from Korea has unveiled its G100 gaming device recently, bringing WiMAX connectivity to the world of portable gaming. Features include a 4″ touchscreen LCD that slides open to reveal a game pad underneath, a design that’s inspired by the deluge of smartphones that flood our market today. Additional connectivity options include Bluetooth and WiFi, making this perfect for surfing on-the-go or pulling up a cheat from the Internet when you’re stuck in a game somewhere. No word on pricing, although the G100 is tipped to be released in the US by the end of the year – hopefully it will be in time for the holiday season. Do you forsee this overtaking the PSP and Nintendo DS Lite in the long run? Hopefully the software (read: games) will be able to give this a longer shelf life than the Gizmondo…
