The Project E device is a prototype that relies on a Web-based backbone (Eco), a central hub (Exo), and a wearable piece of jewelry (Evo), all connected via Bluetooth technology. These devices will respond to gesture-based input, communicating how you’re feeling at the moment to other Project E members. This is social networking stepping up another level (or ten steps backwards, depending on which side of the fence you’re on), allowing you to even pair up your Evo with a total stranger by adding them to your contact list. Not too sure if such a prototype will take off, as it seems to be rather complicated compared to the standard MySpace/Facebook/Friendster model.
