Rumor: Offline GMail Coming

The word on the street is that Google will enable GMail to work offline very soon. That would be really practical for GMail users who might want to work in places that don’t have an internet connection (Yikes!).

Gmail offline will most likely be built usinf Google Gears, an open-source browser extension that lets developers store data locally.
