SanDisk ExpressCard flash memory card

SanDisk has just launched the ExpressCard flash memory card that stores memory on the ExpressCard format in capacities of 8GB and 16GB. This means you’ll be able to fit in around 30 minutes of high definition video on the 8GB model, and double that on the 16GB version. Do you think this new memory format will take off? After all, Sony has already adopted ExpressCards as video recording media in their new XDCAM EX camcorder. Not only that, the SanDisk ExpressCard also reduces wear and tear as there are no moving parts, and hence increase the reliability of your storage solution. You can expect to see the SanDisk ExpressCard hit stores in US and Europe this November with the 8GB and 16GB versions retailing for $499.99 and $899.99 respectively.
